Can I try a free class to see if I like it?

Absolutely! We encourage you to come visit our facility, meet our instructors and watch one of our classes before taking your free class or signing up.

Do I need to be in shape or have experience to get the most out of my free trial?

No. The Free Trial is intended to give you a sample of what you'll be getting as a member at Edmonton Kyokushin Karate Club. You do not need any experience or be in shape in order to get started.

Can I take martial arts classes if I am not in good shape or have no experience?

Yes! Karate is a great way to improve your health and overall physical fitness, no matter what your starting point is. Our personalized curriculum allows students to progress at their own pace, making our programs ideal for people of all ages and skill levels.

How much does karate cost after the trial?

Our programs start as low as $80.00 and move up to $140 a month. We also offer 6- and 12-month term memberships and 10, 20, and 40 class passes.

What is the minimum age to start martial arts?

We have children in our Junior Kids program that started when they were 3 years old. Our Junior Kids program officially starts at age 5, but children develop at different speeds.

Can I get hurt doing martial arts?

Both children and adults have a much greater chance of getting hurt playing football than martial arts. Many students train for years without ever receiving a single injury. Your safety is always our #1 concern. We use thick padded floor matting, safety gear and follow a strict set of rules and regulations.

How often should students attend class?

Two days a week with a qualified instructor is often enough to ensure a good consistent education. All of our term memberships have a three class per week allotment, which greatly exceeds the industry standard.

What are the benefits of martial arts training?
