The advanced training room
Advanced Karate is where Green belts (4th KYU) train alongside Brown belts and Black belts. There is no separate "Green class" — when you earn 4th KYU, you train with the seniors. This is intentional. Higher ranks set the bar; lower ranks rise to meet it. The room runs on the energy of students who have spent years getting here.
What's covered
The full advanced kata syllabus: Pinan 4 and 5, Tsuki No Kata, Gekisai 1, 2, 3, Tekki 1 and 2, Taikyoku Ura 1 through 3, Saifa, Seienchin, and beyond. Kumite at full Kyokushin intensity — knockdown rules, head-kick allowed (with control), and the conditioning to handle multiple rounds. Tournament preparation when AB Open or other competitions are on the calendar.
Shihan teaches Advanced Karate.
Advanced Karate is taught directly by Shihan Irek, 5th Dan. His Tuesday and Thursday classes are the dojo's most demanding 90 minutes. Brown and Black belts who train under Shihan have decades of accumulated experience to draw from. There is no substitute when this class meets.

How students get here
Advanced Karate is by graduation only. Students earn 4th KYU (Green belt) in the Intermediate class — typically after 18 to 30 months of consistent training across Junior Karate and Intermediate. The graduation grading is a serious test, and Shihan personally invites graduates into the Advanced room.
Tournament path
Many of EKKC's competitive athletes start fighting in tournaments at Green belt. The Advanced class becomes the natural home for tournament preparation — kumite drilling, fitness conditioning, tactical work. The Monthly Fight Team Camp on Saturdays is a separate invitation track for our most committed competitors.
